LEAD ME

SANCTUS REAL
[Sanctus Real is looking for people to share their story of "Redemption" for their new song REDEEMER]
I thought about sharing that song but God led me to this one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGE6Davndh0

...Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won't You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't want to leave them hungry for love,
Chasing things that I could give up

I'll show them I'm willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone

Father, lead me, 'cause I can't do this alone

" ... AND LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL ... "

"From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
"
Psalm 61:2
THE LORD IS MY ROCK!

... You Lead me beside STILL waters,
You restore my soul...
You lead me in right paths for Your name's sake...
Psalm 23:2b-3

Part of an email of Psalm 23 that I received from Alice ... Though I had received it before, this time, these PARTS stood out to me...

"He leadeth me beside the still waters" = That's Refreshment!
"He restoreth my soul" = That's Healing!

"He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness" = That's Guidance!

"For His name's sake" = That's Purpose!

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD!

THAT IS
RELATIONSHIP

I'm thankful that Psalm 23 speaks to me of RELATIONSHIP, SUPPLY, REST, REFRESHMENT, HEALING, GUIDANCE, PURPOSE, TESTING, PROTECTION, FAITHFULNESS, DISCIPLINE, HOPE, CONSECRATION, ABUNDANCE, BLESSING, SECURITY, ETERNITY...

and
"I SHALL NOT WANT"

...what more could I want or ask for than the above that Jesus provides...

THE LORD is GOD OF ALL HOPE

"...Jagged places give way to a downy like smoothness all the while holding onto properties of strength found in the rock. Pointed and sharp places become smooth like the stones of a river bed (or ocean). They can be walked on or held without pain. So it is with you." ~ Brenda Craig

This past week, Brenda Craig awakened me on the 1st of this new month of February with:

Walk With Me In The Garden Of My Heart

as her WORD of the DAY from Our Lord and the first Words did call me aside to sit with Him then I delighted as I read the complete letter from the "Breath of Life" with so much more that I needed to hear from Our Beloved Lord. That's usually how it is whenever I visit Journals of the Heart with Brenda Craig.

But then the very next day, Brenda wrote one that reminded me of this place where I had been last October with:

I Am Your God Of All Hope

I know that if you take the time to go read this or any from this week, God will speak to you also

The beginning of Brenda's prayer expresses so much...from my heart... it's as if she knows me
"Lord, You are my Light and my Salvation in all areas of my life. My rough places do not surprise You, nor do they cause dismay. You never look at me and think I am not worth it or too tough to handle. Your kindness, mercy and goodness are ever before me…wooing me…calling me…saying to me, “Come close.” Create in me a burning desire to be ever close to the fire of Your heart…to the fire of Your all consuming love. May I drown in the flowing waters of Your enduring and life-changing love.... " to read the rest continue HERE

THE LORD is MY SHIELD; THE GLORY and the LIFTER of my head!

You bestow glory on me and lift up my head."

Let me just briefly TESTIFY to the LORD as my SHIELD; the GLORY and the LIFTER of my head and the POWER OF HIS LOVE!

Here in Mexico, but mostly on the border, the headlines are filled with violence and wars between drug cartels, regular innocent people, PDF, Federales, Police and yes, even missionaries. Daily I hear of yet another killing or more in the place I live. Yet God has His hand of Protection and Shield around me.

Last year, was a troubling and shaken year for me as I grieved the loss of my dear friend of 14 years, that usually accompanied me to the border and back when I would leave for the USA as a source of protection and companion along the way. Though his suicide was indeed a shock to all of us, his family, friends and myself, I know very well my True Shield and Protector is the Lord. That was tested when I had to make the journey alone. I can clearly see God's imprint and hand as well as how He has lifted me from that place of grief to find JOY as my word for 2011. I am so thankful for His Shield around me. And claimed Psalm 91 this year for Mexico and me.

There is a battle going on but it is more than just between the drug lords and the defenders of crime; it's in the heavenlies for souls and salvation of people that are perishing without the Truth of Jesus Christ, that they are being deceived, in our homes and in our lands on every border, in every nation; God is waging a war!

Will you show His glory to those around you that are perishing and pray for the lost to come to Jesus now?

Lord Jesus, We ask You to come in all Your Glory right now, today! Touch lives! Show us Your Glory! Change lives! Lead us in Your Way! We speak to the Nations, we declare You, Lord as Our Shield. We ask that You go before us in Your Glory! You care about each one of us. There is no borders for justice in Your eyes. May Your justice and peace prevail! We cry out for Egypt, Mexico, USA, all the many nations of the world bound by so many injustices.
We ask You to reveal Your Glory through us. Make us bold to proclaim Your Truth that sets the captives free. You love each one of us! We love You and ask for You to be the Lifter of our heads, Our Protector, Our Defender, the Glory around us and fill us with Your Power, yes, Lord the power of Your Love and Your aMazing Grace that gives us liberty and faith in You... Thank You, Thank You Most Holy One, we worship You, we magnify You... PRAISE You... we glorify Your Holy Name, we sing and worship You this day for all You are...

THE LORD is MY DELIVERER!

DELIVER US from ...

Chris Tomlin

MY DELIVERER
is
the
LORD!

Scriptures to Pray Over Your Children

Ephesians 1:17-19
Lord, give our children the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, and the knowledge of You. That the eyes of their hearts be enlightened that they will know the hope to which you have called them, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints and His Incomparably great power for us who believe.

Ephesians 3: 17-19
These children are rooted and established in love; we pray that they may have power with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ towards them, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled to the measure of the fullness of God.

Ephesians 5:1 and 21
Our children will be imitators of God and live a life of love. They will submit to others out of reverence to Christ.

Ephesians 6:1,2
Our children will obey their parents in the Lord. They will honor their father and mother so that it may go well with them and that they may enjoy long life on earth.

1 Timothy 4:12
No one will look down on our children because they are young, but they set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in faith and in purity.

Psalm 103:2-5
Thank you Lord that our children won’t forget His benefits. You forgive all their sins and heal all their diseases. You redeem their lives form the pit, and crown them with love and compassion. You satisfy their souls with good things so that their youth is renewed like the eagles.

Psalm 1:1-3
Our children do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly or stand in the path of sinners or sit in the seat of scoffers. But their delight is in the law of the Lord and on His law they meditate day and night. They are like the trees planted by the rivers of water, which yield their fruit in season and whose leaf will not whither, and whatever they do prospers.

Psalm 119:18
Our children seek You with all their hearts; they will not stray from Your commands; they have hidden Your word in their hearts that they may not sin against you.

Psalm 91:9-16
Our children have made the Most High their dwelling place. No harm will befall them; no disaster will come near their tents. For He will give His angles charge over them to guard them in all their
ways. They will carry them so that our children do not dash their foot against a stone. They will tread upon the lion and the cobra; they will trample them underfoot. Because our children love You, You will deliver them, You will set them on high. They will call upon You and You will answer them You will be with them in trouble, You will deliver them and honor them and with long life You will satisfy them and show them Your salvation.

Acts 1:8, 2:38
Our children will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. They will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them.

Joel 2:28
Thank you Lord that it will come to pass that You will pour out Your Spirit on our children; our sons and daughters shall prophesy, dream dreams, and see visions.

1John 4:4
Greater is He that is in our children the he that is in the world.

Isaiah 24:13.14 and 17
All our children shall be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace, their health, safety, protection and prosperity. In righteousness they will be established. Tyranny will be far from them; they will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near them. No weapon formed against them will prosper.

Mark 4:20
The hearts of our children are like good soil, they hear the word, accept it and produce a crop….100 times that which was sown.

2 Timothy 2:22
Our children flee the evil desires of their youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

AMEN!

The Lord is My Strength

I love you, LORD; You are my strength.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior;
my God is my rock, in whom I find protection.
He is my shield, the strength of my salvation, and my stronghold.

I will call on the LORD, who is worthy of praise,
for He saves me from my enemies.
Psalm 18:1-3

Today I join with Peggy in prayer:

Lord, today I need to know you as my strength and my deliverer. You know me inside and out, God, and You know my heart, my desires, my very thoughts. I ask that you protect me and shield me from all undesirable thoughts and desires. Close my ears to those that malign me or try to hurt me with their words. Let me hear Your Word of truth, love and Your promises to me instead of the lies of the enemy.
Open my eyes, my heart, my soul. Allow Your Holy Spirit, which lives in me, to guide me through this day. Help me to pause to hear Your voice above all the clamor and noise of this world. Then help me to obey what You are telling me.

So often during my day I find that I am too busy, too distracted, too overwhelmed. Lift me up, Lord, and relieve this overwhelmed and stressful me. I so want to do what You want me to do, You know I do. My days are filled to the brim with negativity, cutting remarks, unrelenting demands. These are not from You, Lord.

I ask that You filter out the negatives and fill me with Your positives...the promise of Your faithfulness, Your unchanging love, Your power and Your strength. Carry me throughout this day with Your strength and do not allow me to rest on my own....I am solely relying on Your strength and power for I have none of my own left in my body. I am broken again, Lord....broken....and I need You to put the pieces back together and show me where to go.

Today, when I hear someone malign someone else, replace in my mind these words with Your Word--the truth of the entire situation. Guide me, Lord....please guide me....for I am lost.....lost without You.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God...Psalm 20:7.

My Father, I know You have the power and the strength to do everything...even what I consider to be impossible....I ask that You increase my trust and faith in You....You alone, Lord....
In Your Son Jesus' most precious Name I pray...for this day and every day of my life,
Amen

Super Sunday

I am joining with Peggy for Super Sunday today. Please be sure and visit her to view her post and also the other participants.

Courtesy of Ben Steed at Heartlight

I've been popping up here and there in "Blogland", but mostly absent. My life has been undergoing a lot of change, and this picture of a man climbing a steep mountain--and he looks to be struggling to do so to me--is how I have been feeling.

Change--so much change. I now have my own three adult children living with me, a grandchild due in November, and many, many changes in my job that are pressuring me to the point of explosion.

And, I've been asking God what His purpose is in all of this--my home about to pop its seams, three grown children with basically no direction in their lives, and then the added stress of my job situation which is growing more stressful by the day.

Is this where I am to be, God? What am I to do? Where am I to go? I feel like I'm floundering around here, Lord. Take me by the hand and lead me.

God has shown me the way. He has led me. He hasn't left my side--not for one instant. He has shown me Himself in nature--a chipmunk that came so close to me that I could touch--an unafraid chipmunk who came to eat a cherry that had fallen off a tree.

I CARE FOR THIS LITTLE CREATURE. I CREATED HIM, I CREATED YOU. I PROVIDE FOR HIM. I WILL PROVIDE FOR YOU AND YOURS.

Another morning, there was a spider climbing along one thin filament of web. He did not fall, did not hesitate--just kept on climbing that one strand until he reached his destination.

I WILL NOT LET YOU FALL NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT THE JOURNEY.

A tiny sparrow landed on the table on my deck as I sat there drinking a cup of coffee. I looked at this sparrow and he just sat there looking at me. He didn't fly from me as birds usually do--just sat there--almost staring at me.

I LOVE THIS TINIEST OF CREATURES. I DO NOT ALLOW HARM TO COME TO HIM, AND I WILL NOT ALLOW HARM TO COME TO YOU--NOT ONE HAIR OF YOUR HEAD.

I LOVE YOU. I AM ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU. DO NOT DESPAIR. DO NOT SLIDE DOWN INTO THE DEPTHS. I WILL KEEP YOU STRONG. LEAN ON ME--LEAN LONG AND HARD FOR MY SHOULDERS ARE BROAD AND STRONG. I WILL SUPPORT AND CARRY YOU THROUGH.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

YOUR CHILDREN WILL COME TO ME. BE PATIENT. BE STILL.

THEY WILL BE HEALED OF THEIR HURTS.

I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN HEAL THEM

LEAD THEM TO ME

CRY OUT TO JESUS

I lift up my eyes to the hills--
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip--
He who watches over you will
not slumber;
Indeed, He who watches over
Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you--
The LORD is your shade at
your right hand;
The sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you
from all harm--
He will watch over
your life;
The LORD will watch
over your
coming
and
going
both
now
and
forever
more.

Psalm 121:1-8 (NIV)

Super Sunday

Today I am joining Peggy for Super Sunday. Be sure to stop by and visit Peggy. Her post today is awesome and inspiring. Maybe you'd even like to join in today!

I've been staying away from blogging lately, and I've received several e-mails and comments asking me if everything is okay--I've not been heard from lately. I thank you for thinking of me, and I would appreciate prayers for my family and also the little one that will be born in November.

So, I decided today to share a little with you. I'm not going into a lot of details because they are very personal and private.

But, I need you to know that all three of my children have reached an impasse in their lives--a time when they are experiencing hurts and pains from their past. I have shared some of this past previously, and each of them are suffering in their own way--one with anger, one with total confusion and one facing consequences from poor decisions of their own.

To say that this has been a difficult time for me is stating this mildly. There has been a great deal of dissension in my household, a lot of crying, and a total feeling of my life swirling out of control.

Yes, it is out of my control--but it is in God's control.

I have been healed from these hurts through the power of God's love, the ability given to me through Him to forgive. My children have not yet experienced this forgiveness in themselves, and they are coming to me with all of their various hurts, pains and sufferings.

Is this bringing up the past haunting me and bringing me new hurts and pains? Yes, it is. I am hurting for my children--for all we have been through and the fact that they cannot see the present because of the past clouding their view.

But, I have been praying, seeking the counsel of members of my spiritual family, and I know through prayer and the wisdom of others that God does His greatest works through times of crisis. His truths and promises allow me to know that I do have hope, joy and love in my life. He WILL bring my children to Him to fill them with the love that only He can impart. He WILL heal them and lead them to seek forgiveness.

I will not let the enemy take me down through this. I am standing strong in the power of God's love, might and strength.

A wonderful friend of mine, knowing that God often speaks to me through music, sent me this song. I have listened to this many times over the past week--soaking in the words--letting God take control of this entire situation--allowing Him to lead me through the storm.

This song is a very old song--originally written in 1875. The lyrics are by Fanny Crosby and the music composed by Dr. Robert Lowry.

Chris Tomlin has updated the song a little, and yes, this song--though very old--still stands as true today as it did in 1875.

My Savior is leading me as I fall back into His arms for His comfort--allowing Him to carry me--for I cannot stand on my own.

Thank You

I'm joining with Peggy for Super Sunday. If you get the chance today or sometime this week, stop by and visit her. You'll find that it is well worth your time.

Last night I was trying to pray. I say trying because I couldn't seem to form the thoughts that were in my mind into sentences.

I finally gave up on the "sentence feature" of my prayer and just started saying words to My Lord. I know that He knows all that is in my life, all that is in my heart and mind. I left it up to Him to form my single words and phrases into prayer.

Here's just some of the single words I offered to God:

job

stress

crying

don't want to go there

sleeplessness

no energy

anxiety

sleeping too much

children

disappointment

discouragement

sad

where

what

help

encourage

lift

empower me

strength

love

hope

carry me

carry me

carry me

thank you

Super Sunday

It is indeed a Super Sunday!! This is the day we honor our Lord and Savior for all that He has done!! Join Peggy this Sunday and celebrate!!

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other,

"Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"

But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.

"Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.

He has risen!

He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But Go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.'"

Mark 16:1-7

And today and every day:

Let all creation testify and this life within me cry:

I KNOW MY REDEEMER LIVES!!

Super Sunday

Peggy is still on her "blogging hiatus" until next Sunday, so I'm again filling in for her. She'll be back next Sunday--Resurrection Day--with what will be I'm sure a VERY Super Sunday as we honor the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord.

Today I'm again sharing an email that Paula sent me. I wish I could give credit to whomever originally wrote this, but I do not know. So, I thank the person who wrote this and all those that forwarded this and then forwarded it again and again until I received it so that I can share this with everyone who stops by:

I had a dream, the Lord Jesus and I are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.

But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.

For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling, His consistently.

You and Jesus are walking as true friends!

This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.
Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one.

This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change.

The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.

Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.

This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back.

This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand. A variable mess of prints.

You are amazed and shocked..

Your dream ends. Now you pray:

'Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits.

I was a new Christian;
I was just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You.'

'That is correct.'

'And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning
to walk in Your steps, following You very closely.'

'Very good.. You have understood everything so far.'

When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way.'

'Precisely.'

'So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first.'

There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.

'You didn't know? It was then that we danced!'

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:
A time to weep,
a time to laugh,
a time to mourn,
and a time to dance.
Ecclesiastes 3:1:4

It's not WHAT you have in your life, but Who you have in your life that counts.. Think about that.

I ASKED GOD:

I asked for a flower,
He gave me a garden.

I asked for a tree,
He gave me a forest.

I asked for a river,
He gave me an ocean.

I urge everyone to also read HisFirefly's post below this one and think about the crosses that you are carrying in your life at this very moment--crosses that will help you to grow and learn to lean on the Cross of Christ--for He is the only ONE who can possibly carry all of our burdens easily.

Learn to come Him quickly with Your burdens. His shoulders are broad, His love is great.

His is the greatest sacrifice of all, and when I think of the crosses that I am carrying now compared to the burden placed upon Jesus, I am overwhelmed with His love for me.

We are utilizing Mr. Linky, so if you are participating in Super Sunday please remember to post and then link your post here.

Have a wonderful Sabbath Day in HIM!!
