Carry My Cross

The past few days I have been listening to Third Day's song "Carry My Cross" over and over again. I am brought to tears thinking of our Savior's love for us, a love that led Him to the cross.

"As long as I remember
I've been walking through the wilderness
Praying to the Father
And waiting for my time
I've come here with a mission
And soon I'll give my life for this world

I'm praying in the garden
And I'm looking for a miracle
I find the journey hard but
It's the reason I was born
Can this cup be passed on
Lord, I pray your will be done
In this world

So I'll carry my cross
And I'll carry the shame
To the end of the road
Through the struggle and pain
And I'll do it for love
No, it won't be in vain
Yes, I'll carry my cross
And I'll carry the shame

I feel like I'm alone here
And I'm treated like a criminal
The time has come for me now
Even though I've done no wrong
Father, please forgive them
They know not what they've done
In this world

Three more days and I'll be coming back again
Three more days and I'll be coming back again"

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor anything above, nor anything below, nor anything else in all creation can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8:38-39)

I am so thankful that nothing can separate us from His love!

Thank you for this wonderful reminder.

I've been carrying this song along in my head with me for over a week. Faced with burdens (my cross) for the past month, and then I have to stop and think--is this burden anything compared to what Jesus did by carrying the cross for all of us?

And the answer is always no--this is a minor stumbling block compared to His great sacrifice for me.

I'll add a video at the end of my post for today--hope you don't mind--with a reference to your post.
