WEEKLY MEMORY VERSE

This was last week's Memory Verse
from "Embracing the Word" memory cards:

And the Word became flesh,

and dwelt among us,

and we saw His glory,

glory as of the only begotten

from the Father,

full of grace and truth.

John 1:14 (NASB)

Thanks Beth in NC!!! Glad you're still memorizing and with us!

I just did not want the "Embracing the Word" of 52 verses to get lost in the shuffle. We're more than half way. No time to stop now!

Some are old ones we may know & some are new ones, but the important thing is to be focusing on the verse & letting it impact us! I wish I had time & inspiration to share like Beth does. Hope she is able to be back soon. Keep her in your prayers, her adult children & her work situation. Thanks!

Good job Beth in NC! Sorry I forgot to put in a new MckLinky but I linked you...bless you for stopping in & leaving us your link & your thanks! You're very welcome.

I love the verse about the Word becoming flesh. In fact I have written a Christmas song about it. But I can't get the music written exactly right. A musician at church told me to repeat every line?! I just started singing it in the shower one day.

What a powerful verse. And now we have the Word - living and dynamic in our lives - for us to abide in daily. It makes me think if we really love God then we will abide in His Word on a regular basis. It is like spending time listening and talking with your husband - if you love truly Him you will take the time and put all excuses aside.
