Another Flickering FireFly

Shining His Light
Both Beth and I feel it is time to bless Peggy with a Flickering Firefly! This award is to recognize bloggers who shine the light of Christ for a watching world.

As Beth said:

"God has led me to a most amazing woman. Her name is Peggy, and she has become a true friend to me even though we are miles apart. Peggy does volunteer missions work in Mexico. She is shining her light for Christ, leading others to Him, offering herself to Him with a servant’s heart."

I myself have found light, love and encouragement in the words that Peggy leaves as comments on our blogs. She is a true example of Hebrews 3:13a: Instead, continue to encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," and Hebrews 10:24: And let us continue to consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds

Beth chose the following from Matthew 5:1-16 as what rises up in her spirit when she thinks of Peggy:

Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Bless you, Peggy. Snag this little Flickering Firefly picture for your blog, give it away to others who are lighting the way with a link back to me, please. And keep on shining!

I also decided to create this at wordle from the Matthew scripture as another special gift for Peggy

I am linking to this on my Flickers of a Faithful FireFly blog so more readers can learn about Peggy and her gift of light.

Dear Firefly (Karin) and Beth, I'm sitting here with crocodile tears and can't even see the keyboard let alone read past Beth's first words...I am so humbly blessed & honored & pray that my little flicker of a light will always SHINE for JESUS! It is through Jesus & by His grace that I am encouraged to bless, honor and bring ALL glory to Him, my Papa & His spirit that I find among my sisters!

I love you and I appreciate so much that you even considered my light bright enough. I had always wondered about this Flickering Firefly...but knew the people connected with and by it truly shine Jesus & His love to others!
