Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

I'm joining Sonya at Truth for the Journey for "Thankful Thursday". Being thankful is a wonderful thing and helps us to focus on the positives of our lives instead of the negatives.

Stop over and visit Sonya, see what everyone is thankful for this week!! Maybe this is the week that you'd like to join in and share what you've been thankful for during the past week. All you need to do is list 5 things that you are thankful for. Surely, we all have at least 5 "thankfuls"!!

Here are my "thankfuls" for this week:

  • I'm thankful for the series my Small Group is studying--"The Life You've Always Wanted" by John Ortberg. I'm learning so much about the life that God wants me to live and enjoy.
  • I'm thankful that I have finally made the commitment to start exercising. I don't like to exercise, and I have been putting this off for a long time. This is something I need to do, and I'm hoping that it will energize me. Maybe I'll be able to get up off the floor and visit some other posts after this exercise session. And, I'm hoping that instead of dreading exercise that I'll come to like and look forward to this!
  • I'm thankful that I didn't have to scrape ice from my car windshield this morning as I've had to do every other day this week.
  • I'm thankful that even though I slid through an intersection in some of this ice that no other car was coming in the opposite direction, and I arrived to and from work safely.
  • And, I am thankful that I finally learned how to knit bobbles after many, many attempts and that I was able to do this without getting frustrated. Much patience involved in this one!
  • I have to add one more beyond the 5!! I am thankful for wordle.net. I love to create wordles, and I just had to do one tonight. I used my previous post, and here's how it looks:
Wordle: Untitled

It's a little small, but I think if you click on the picture, it will enlarge so you can see it more clearly.

Have a very thankful day!!

Beth

3 - I use to hate scraping my window too. So I'm glad I live in Florida! And the other day, my husband actually went out ahead of me and started the van so it would be warm when I got in. :)

Precious thankful heart Beth! The practice of putting these daily thanks in a journal keeps the simple everyday things right before us to thank God in all things!

I love WORDLE! Not ice & winter sleet...but snow is beautiful when you don't have to clean it off your vehicle or sidewalk, etc. I'm so grateful & thankful that God watches over you driving to & from everywhere in this weather & that He protects you. I'm more than thankful for prayers being said & answered...but mostly the one you prayed for me when I really needed it! I'm glad you have a great small group Bible Study cuz you share what you learn. And I'm glad that those little "bobbles" make you thankful for a creative success in your delight of knitting & making gifts to share with others!

I'm glad that you are thankful for much because it blesses me.

And again I forgot...in a cloud...
I'm so Thankful for Sonya's TT and
Pam's ABC's and that Internet Cafe honored us both and 98 others & many more to come with being BLESSED AROMA's which is a sweet aroma of Christ to God!!! I'm thankful for all the readers who made this humble honor a reality by nominating our blogs! What a motivator & encouragement!

When you feel like giving up or in, God is so AWESOME in His Love for us and sends encouragers to brighten and lighten our load!

This was a great list! I had to laugh at your comment of getting up off of the floor to blog. The first week or so of exercising is so painful! Hang in there, it gets easier.

I also am sharing your joy that God was protecting you in that ice.

Have a great day!
