Walk by Faith

I was doing some reading last evening and came upon this poem which I thought I would share with you:

WE WALK BY FAITH
AND NOT BY SIGHT

By Henry Alford (1845)

We walk by faith and not by sight;
No gracious words we hear
From Him who spoke as never man,
But we believe Him near.

We may not touch His hands and side,
Nor follow where He trod;
But in His promise we rejoice,
And cry, "My Lord and God."

Help Thou, O Lord, our unbelief;
And may our faith abound,
To call on Thee when Thou art near,
And seek, where Thou art found:

That when our life of faith is done,
In realms of clearer light,
We may behold Thee as Thou art,
With full and endless sight.

This is a beautiful poem and yes I do walk by faith, his faith alone is all that I need.
And when I know I cannot handle things I Cry out to my Lord and God. This is soooo worth pondering for the day.
Thanks
Have a blessed weekend

Thank you Beth and thank You LORD
that because of YOU, we can walk by faith and not by sight...YOU have made REAL that which we cannot see.
YOU have given us principles and qualities exemplified to change our lives in HOPES that we will see YOU face to face.

Not doubting Thomas here, Lord.

I call on You & seek You Lord for that is our weekly Bible verse! I am learning well.

Written long ago but still our heartfelt prayer!
