Flickering Firefly Award

If you notice to the right, on the sidebar, there is something new. It's "The Flickering Firefly Award". This came to me today from his firefly, and honestly, when I read what she had written on her blog, I just cried. Please stop by her blog, visit, and get to know her. I'm sure you'll be blessed that you did.

This is what she writes about this award: "
This award is to recognize bloggers who shine the light of Christ for a watching world."

I'll be passing this award on to others who "shine their light".

This is something that we, as Christians, need to remember. Others are watching us. They truly are watching us, seeing what brings us peace and hope in our lives--even when there is turmoil.

I just want you to imagine this--You are known as a Christian--yet you do not display this in your day to day living. Someone who is not a Christian looks at you and thinks to themselves, "This is a Christian? Is this who I want to become? Why should I become a Christian if this is the way they display themselves?"

We need to keep our "lights shining" so that others may see and come to Christ. This what He has commanded of us as followers of Him.

Thank you, hisfirefly, for this outstanding award. I am truly humbled by this, and yes, I am crying again!!

I see from our list of contributors that Aunt Kathy, Julie and Tiffanie have joined us. I'm looking forward to hearing from them soon!

I don't know why the time is incorrect--if that even matters. But, I posted this at 3;40 p.m. not 6:12 a.m. Hmmmm.............

I know, I noticed the time problem earlier... odd.

You spoke my heart exactly when you wrote about the world looking at Christians and thinking "I don;'t want any of that". We need to live in a way that is enticing and inviting. May our peace and our joy draw others to the source of it all.

Hi Beth,
Thank you so much for your visit to my blog, and for sharing your heart and words of encouragement with me. I really love your profile picture, I've never see one that animates like that. What a wonderful award to recieve congrats my sister.. It's always a blessing to see the light of God reflected through his daughter unto others. Keep shinning your heartlight for him, I know the Lord is pleased. I'm so glad your light led me here today.
